The MISSAA Kids KN95 Face Mask failed because the KN95 standard requires that the mask have the manufacturer’s name and the appropriate technical standard, typically either "GB 2626-2019" or GB-2626-2006,” written across the front of the mask. This is similar to how official N95 masks display NIOSH approval numbers. This mask did not have the required identification on its front.

Hey there. How you doing? I want to test some masks tonight. It's late. We are testing masks all through the night. It's 2:30 AM, but I'm not stopping until I test all the Missaa Masks, including Missaa Masks Kids KN 95. We did test the adult mask, what did that do? That's a pretty hard failure. In fact, this one gets failure of the day. Roll that beautiful bean footage. Oh man, this is exciting. Okay, so this is what I've noticed about brands, they actually with the kids mask, they tend to do worse than the adult mask for some reason. I don't know why that is probably because they don't think the kids will notice. Well, that's a horrible thought. These are cool though. They're tie dye. They look like they're actually tie dye. They look like they actually like did that, remember that as a kid? That took me a real long time. That's what she said. Let's go. Okay, this is a PFE machine, particulate filtration efficiency machine. This is doing the N 95 mask, and we are testing kids KN 95s. Fun fact, it's actually just about the same standard. Now there is actually not a kids KN 95 that I'm aware of. But I mean, they're selling it as that. So this is actually not a KN 95. I do this every episode, but I'll be fast. KN 95 needs three things. Need to see KN 95. Needs to say GB 2626-2019, if it's the latest one, and this one is the 2019 standard. And it needs to have the manufacturer name, in this case is Weau Conan Medical Technology Co.
Now obviously, the good folks at Weau Conan Medical Technology, Co. LTD, say that five times fast, prefer the name Missaa. Probably because it would fit better on the mask, but they're not putting it on there. So either way they're not telling you who they are. Not cool. So this is a fake KN 95. I can tell right away. That's really good though. I mean that. You could hold up a fat child with that mask. Let's try it on. Good fit. Great nose wire. Wow.
Okay, the mask might be screwing me up or maybe it's too late, but this mask smells like strawberries. I don't know why that's... Oh man, that's weird. That is really weird. I'm going to switch on over to the machine here. Now the efficiency is doing really well, but look at the airflow resistance. It's 204 pascals. It may not mean a lot to you, but basically we want an adults mask to be under 150 pascal if they're going to wear it all day. If you're going to have your child in this all day long, if you want them to actually be breathing through it, it's a filter and for a filter to work, you have to breathe through it, you need that airflow resistance to be closer to 100 for a child. So 100 to 120, 130. A 200, that's a non-starter for me.
Now it's within the standard of KN 95, but I just don't personally think... I have five kids. I don't think they're going to stand for that. 98.701 on the efficiency though, so great efficiency on that and it smells like strawberries. So your mileage may vary on that. Make your own decisions, freak. All right. Thank you guys so much for watching and I'll catch you on the next test.
