Happy Holidays! I’m no longer using the Livinguard or 5LOG masks, and Livinguard no longer is selling them to individuals. But I found your test/review interesting regarding the middle, meltblown, polypropylene layer. It is indeed surprising that they say it can withstand 30 washes! However, I think you’re off the mark in criticizing the fabric that deactivates viruses. I was in contact with one of the researchers here in Tucson AZ at the U of A who conducted their study, and also the researcher in the German institute who conducted theirs. I also talked to Nelson Labs. There’s apparently something to it. Of course, it’s not 100% effective immediately, which means the filtration of the middle layer is vital. But have you seen the studies? There are other fabrics in other masks that do this as well.
